In past few years, it has been observed that number of engineering colleges are growing day by day. As a result, number of engineers are also increasing, which in-turn has increased the competition in job market. After having an engineering degree, getting a Desired Job, which has career growth and stability is becoming difficult.

The question which hound in the mind of students “What to do next after B. Tech?”

As per a survey, only 10% to 15% Mechanical Engineering Students get selected through the campus placement. 10-15% go for the higher studies like M. Tech, MBA or MS etc. Rest 70% to 80% of the students start their preparation for PSU’s exams. Total cost for preparing these exams is Rs. 1 Lakh (Rs. 40,000 for Fee and Rs. 5,000 per month for one year for loadging & boarding). in-spite of spending 50,000 to 1 Lakh, students are not sure, if they will get selected for PSU/ Govt jobs, as number of PSU/Govt Jobs are less than 10% of students preparing for these exams.   Students who are not able to cross PSU/ Govt jobs end up compromising with their careers.

It is suggested that instead of mad rush for PSU/Govt Jobs, students should consider Job oriented curses.
